I could not talk more highly about this clinic. The Doctor we see Dr Lucy, is not only welcoming and informative but always makes us feel like nothing is too much trouble, nor that she has to rush us through. The staff here listen to you and are polite and efficient.
I have been going to this practice for 60 years. I am so sorry to say I will only go there again to close my association with it. I have never been spoken to so poorly. I called from Canada and was rudely told what the doctor would and would not do. when I tried to explain the situation, I was rudely told that she was the receptionist and' deal with this all the time'. I doubt they get calls from a patient in Canada all the time. I was told I could call back in 4 hours, She was obviously unaware of the time difference. I said I would call the next day. I just did that and was on hold for 48 minutes. i asked if she thought that was 'shortly' as the recorded messsage kept telling me. Barb didn't want a screen shot of my phone but told me she had come into work on a Saturday and this was the message. It had inaccurate information in it and I will always wonder if the Doctor actually got my question. The answer was contrary to his intention when I saw him last. Very disappointing .
Great doctors. Receptionist are very helpful and always accommodating. Have been going there for 20 years with no hassles.
The most expensive consult I have ever had, $53 including rebate. Explained it was because of a 'class C consult' meaning the longer youre there the more you pay. If you dont go to your appt youre charged $25. The Dr was nothing special. Only received a referral at the end of it all. The most expensive, bizarre money grab of a Dr I have ever experienced! Bulk billing all the way from now on!
I have been a patient of the Mt Barker Medical Clinic for around 15 years and I can definitely recommend all the staff for there friendly and polite manner, all the office girls are always ready to help you, the doctors are always ready to help with any problems you may have, my doctor is Dr David Brookes and he has always been very good in all the problems I have had over the years and always been happy with his service.
