Horrible creepy owners. Total dump of a store. Underlit and hasn't had a makeover in 50 years at least. Off to Mitre 10 in Stirling! They are very good.

The Aldgate Hardware store is located midway in the Aldgate shopping centre. It is spacious, very well organised, with good signage enabling you to find your way around when looking for what you have called in for. I have used this store for a few years and always found what I am looking for, if it is not in stock, the owner has gone the extra mile and ordered it in for me. I have found the prices competitive in comparison with, Bunnings, Mitre 10 etc. One of the reasons I keep returning to this hardware store, the owner has a wealth of information, and will spend time with you, giving you good information. I find in the larger stores, this kind of service is not so easy to get a hold off.
