Bridgewater is a lovely little hamlet just a few minutes down the road from Aldgate. It has a perfectly serviceable supermarket and a few shops, but the centrepiece is definitely the Bridgewater mill, pub, and playground (all less than 100 metres from eachother).The locals are an eclectic mix of family tradesmen and new arrivals seeking sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the city, somewhat wealthy but without the pretentiousness that you might expect. Folks here are always friendly, and will always make time for questions and advice.
